Matthew 26: 22-24

22 The light of
the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. 23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! 24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon

I have been sick lately and have had to spend ALOT of time in my bed. I have been doing alot of thinking and today is the first day in over a week that I feel well enough to write what has been on my heart. I was thinking about our eyes. I remember our little babies and how innocent they looked. There eyes were almost glossy. Then over time, they loose the glossy look as sin enters into their lives. Of course, they still have an innocent look to them because they are innocent. As a parent, you want to keep that look for as long as you can. You want to protect them from the wickedness of the world. I remember as my children got older and more rebellious, their look would change. I would look into their eyes and I would still see the innocent child I raised, but as the rebellion grew and their sin, I would slowly see change taking place. In one case, this child had us fooled. Doing and saying all the right things, but as I spoke to this child, I was noticing something different. At first I couldn't place it. In a girl, it usually starts with the eye makeup, they are trying to cover up something. Then one day, It struck me, her EYES had changed. Everything else about her was seemingly the same, but the EYES were different. She had done things, seen things, and looking into her eyes, I could tell something was wrong. To this day looking into her eyes is hard for me. The change is still so new and the hurt so fresh. I see sadness, fearfulness and someone that wants acceptance. It hurts to look into your child eyes and see that. I know this isn't profound, it was just something that really struck me and I have thought about alot lately and wanted to write about, please just let me write.

Yep, this is my beautiful wife. :)
Not only is she beautiful, she's SAVED! Not only is she saved, she's still serving. Not only serving, but she's always been a good, vigilant Mom. Not only a good Mom, but man! Can she cook! Man, can she sing, play an instrument, write, & lots n lots more. I love you, Honey.
